A steadfast believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship, Maddox strives to collaborate with his clients to build trust, insight, and a space that feels supportive and affirming. With 5+ years of experience, Maddox has a background working with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and has also worked extensively with complex clinical presentations, often including dual diagnoses, in the intensive outpatient (IOP) setting. In his work with clients, Maddox utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach with a focus on behavioral modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Maddox also specializes in working with young adults and adults who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, for whom specialized support and resources are both sorely needed and often challenging to access. Maddox holds a Master's of Social Work from Fordham University, and has earned a Level I certification in RO DBT and a post-master's certification in advanced CBT from the NYU Silver School of Social Work.
